I've been diabetic for 40 years...an A1C of 120 would make you...


not alive.

A single reading of 120mg/dl isn't a bad reading at all depending on what you had earlier and how long it had been since you had eaten.

If 120 was the reading after a Glucose Tolerance Test that would be on the high side but not a diabetic...maybe pre-diabetic.

48zip gave a good explanation of A1C #'s. My A1C as of last week is 6.5.
