I think that's sort of what I do when I drive more than 8 hours.


It's like most of my brain is awake, but parts take turns in deep rest. I've called it packet sleeping. At home, I don't nap. I stay up late but fall into very deep sleep with no problems. In college, there was too much to do. I was definitely sleep deprived but every few weeks, I'd sleep for 24 hours and that seemed to work for me. Crazy Guy says that if sleep becomes an olympic event, he's entering me.
