Kinda hit and miss.
As long as you keep your expectations in check, they are fine.
Some stuff there is actually pretty decent. I've got a benchtop belt sander and a dust collector I bought there that I've been perfectly happy with...use them all the time with no complaints. Their clamps are also surprisingly good, and they have some of the best cheap disposable gloves I've found anywhere. Their air tools and fittings are actually quite good.
I've also bought some things there I've just thrown away after one attempted use.
For tools I know I only need to use rarely, I get there just because of the HUGE cost difference (ex. a carbon steel tap and die set there is maybe $15, but a good HSS or carbide tap and die set is probably $100+...but I only need to chase the threads of something once in a blue moon).
If there is something you know you will use A LOT, I'd steer away from HF. Also, if you need really high precision from a tool, probably not your best choice either. So, for example, their drill press might be half the price of a Delta, but it is also going to have more slop in the table and the drill chuck. If it is important to you that you can drill a hole that is exactly 13/32 in diameter, I bet the HF drill press is going to disappoint you.
But if you need something for occasional, non-high precision work, it is frequently good enough.
