Whatever you do, don't ever by without a coupon, and don't join the club.

How?

GO to Harbor Freight Tools Coupon Database every time, and get a coupon for whatever you need. I usually go to the website on my phone before getting to the store and get the coupons right on my phone by taking a screen shot of the coupon. Just show the cashier your screen to scan, or they read off the numbers below the bar code.

Always get something free with a coupon every time you go, I stock up on the 4-1 screwdriver so I can leave one all over the house, in the cars, etc.

Don't join the club, since you can often find the coupon in this on-line database for cheaper than the club price. You just have to look.

Within the database, you can even see the historical record of coupons for each item, to see that you are getting it at the lowest possible price.

The database has coupons from all over the USA... and they work at all the stores. Users supply the coupons, so they are always up to date.

And for powertools, don't skimp... I'ma big fan of Dewalt... specifically the 20 volt max brush-less line. I work them hard and they out-perform any tool I have ever owned. Routers, I go Bosch and Porter cable. Basically, you get what you pay for in the hand-power tool dept. and I agree with everyone else as well, if you need the tool once a year for light use, HArbor freight will be just fine.
