Why? The whole point of that industry, and product, is to not compete


based on price. Let Miller, Coors, and A-B fight it out for the cost-conscious beer consumer. No way a small operation could hope to compete on price.

Making a premium product and convincing people it is worth paying extra is a MUCH better business model. And since most of them are local/regional, very few of them are competing head-to-head.

If there ever is a price war in the craft brew industry, I expect you would see 80% of them out of business very quickly.
