How about we set term limits for top players

Force the various leagues into shuffling top talent around the teams. And it would be independent of the contracts.

Sure the top teams will probably still win due to coaching and better support players and higher spending. But at least the fans will get some excitement from when terms are up and hope from picking up new talent every few years.
