Penn State is 190 miles away. Temple has until recently been dreadful in football. And Penn, who did get a ton of support before de-emphasizing football, isn't really a player anymore.

I wouldn't have Temple at the top of the list for ACC consideration because they don't really bring any existing rivalry. But, they do bring a large market, and if they could show success in the AAC in football, they'll gain more attention. If they could get to a level like Pittsburgh or Georgia Tech, who also live in NFL cities, perhaps we take a look.

During the last expansion Cincinnati was under ACC consideration. I think that the ACC would be in better position to build excitement and interest across Pennsylvania with a combination of Temple and Pittsburgh than to try to do it in Ohio with Cincinnati. Ohio State is the only game in town in Ohio. Penn State is strong in Pennsylvania like Florida is in Florida. But I think we could compete with that combination like we do with Miami and FSU.
