I believe the only way Army or Navy would leave the Patriot League

is if both schools were joining a new conference together. Would the ACC want Army and Navy as full members?

As far as USC goes, I wouldn't be too sure about their loyalties to the Pac-12. There seems to be quite a few articles out there raising the question on whether USC should become an Independent and even start its own network. Some are even calling USC the "Texas of the West Coast." At the very least it seems Trojan fans seem to think that USC should threaten independence to get a better deal with the Pac-12. I guess seeing USC make $20 million less than Rutgers or $84 million less than the SEC schools before the media right deal expires in 2023-24 is rubbing them the wrong way. USC is expected to sell the naming rights to the Los Angeles Colosseum for $70 million over 15 years.

FWIW in 2016 Rick Neuheisel told his listeners on his SiriusXM program that multiple Pac-12 schools could be targets of Big XII expansion. It seems he was referring to UCLA, USC, and Cal in that comment. I doubt those 3 schools would join the Big XII because I don't see the presidents choosing athletics over academics. However, if the more academically reputable ACC or Big Ten came calling, then those schools may decide to listen.
