2026 World Cup in North America

What has to happen in the next eight years to give the US men a competitive team that not only makes the tournament, but also gets out of group play?

Does it start with the team finding it's Herb Brooks?

Inexcusable in my mind that with 40+ years of youth soccer and the strength of soccer at the collegiate level that we're not competitive at an international level.

But if we're hosting the 2026 World Cup, we need a rapid development effort to produce a team that can compete with the world's best.
