I did this when I bought my last truck, and made an offer of cash for it.


The dealer's representative came back with a counter offer that was less than what I had suggested if I made the deal that week. Sold! All done online.

I was shocked that one dealer didn't get back to me until over a week later. I had been driving my new truck for almost a week by then... Best guess was that whoever handled online negotiations was on vacation and no one checked the website.
