Bought my previous truck face to face.

I initially went to the Jeep dealer looking for a "stripped down" Wrangler with the 4.0L I-6 engine. What they came back with was a Jeep with the I-4 engine, and it was fully loaded. Carpet, lockable boxes everywhere. I took it for a test drive, and it was slow. Really slow. Talked to them about it anyway, and the salesman tried every trick in the book by going back to his "sales manager" several times.

I finally walked out, drove across the street to the Toyota dealer, and talked to them about a truck. I had three requirements: manual transmission, AC, and an extended cab. They had two on the lot that met my requirements. They showed me the invoice, and offered to sell it to me for $200 over. I drove it, then bought it. No fuss, no mess, just straight up dealing. That's the way I like it!

Huge contrast between the Toyota dealer and the Chrysler dealer!

(After getting stuck in the snow in front of my house, I've since added one additional requirement for my trucks: they must have a LSD.)
