Yes 80 percent paid less in taxes


But 3 million more people will write a check than last year because of under withholdings..I'm gonna take a wild guess that most of these people didn't plan for this..and most expected a bigger refund that they depend on each year. So, the IRS is blaming the individuals of course..they say they should have changed their exemptions. How would we know to do this? What normal working stiff would have thought this would be a problem?

My question is why would we have to change our exemptions? The withholdings should have been on the same scale as before relative to the tax brackets, unless the govt wanted to make it look like a bigger tax break than it was.
