Sounds like a simple and reasonable solution to me


Some businesses will offer free peanuts and let you throw the shells on the floor, or proudly advertise they fry using peanut oil. Others will offer a peanut-free environment. Let people make their choice.

At my daughter's school, I remember they had one classroom designated peanut-free for anyone with peanut allergies and any of their friends who wanted to eat lunch with them (so long as they didn't bring a peanut-laced lunch). That never bothered me since they were offering an option, not mandating that no child at the school could have peanuts.
