I rarely notice it...


I suspect it’s similar to learning to drive as a teen. They tend to look at the road right in front of the hood which makes everything go by way too fast to process. Then they learn to look toward the horizon, and the process of driving gets easier to manage.

It’s like being on a whale watch off VA Beach in a storm. If you look in the water near the boat, you’ll eventually barf. You have to seek the horizon to maintain your self-control.
