There's definitely something going on...


It depends on where you are from to a certain extent. I see more and more soccer gear being worn around Bburg. I was in Kroger recently and didn't see a single VT hat or shirt, but saw Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur gear. I saw a Dele Alli jersey downtown recently, but out of a crowd of 40-50 bar crawlers, one guy was wearing a VT hat, and that's it. A week later I saw a Wayne Rooney England jersey in Kroger, but again, no VT gear. A friend pointed out to me the trend of VT students not wearing as much VT gear as they used to, so I started to look for it around town. From what I can tell, it's true. I don't know if that's a fashion trend, or an interest trend (fans before the mid-90s didn't wear VT gear, either). More and more soccer gear is getting worn though. I'm not sure if that's because there are more of them, or because the ones who exist are getting more hardcore. Probably some of both.
