Does VCU have the space for football

There isn't a lot of room for VCU to grow "out" from where there campus is, and building infrastructure for a football program requires a lot of "out" space for practice fields, training facilities, and locker rooms. VCU's location right almost in the middle of Richmond doesn't allow for them to spread out when they grow, and being up against Downtown Expressway to the south, the Fan district to the west, I-95/I64 to the north, and the central business district to the east.

They could possibly use the Redskin's training camp facilities for practice, but even that would be a trek for the players to go practice at.

City Stadium for a place to play is iffy and would require a huge investment in upgrading. UR left that stadium for a reason.
