Vegas Help
(I probably should proof read this closer...World Series and a few whiskey’s into it)
I have decided to do a family trip from 01/02 - 01/06. It’s NFL playoff weekend and rooms are fairly cheap & I booked airfare on miles. Probably our last chance w/ the kiddo all to ourselves.
Our son (VT JR) turns 21 on Turkey Day. I plan on letting him have his own room. I’d like to let him experience “Vegas” strip.
I haven’t been to LV in 12 years. I used to go yearly with the company I worked for (Prob 10x’s), and Mrs 91 & I have been twice. (Last time 1 week before B Spears got hitched...because it was at same place we renewed a week earlier).
I’ve always stayed at Mandalay Bay, but even that was dated last time I was there. My favorite place to hang out was MGM. I’m not big on the themes, but I like that we could cross the bridge into NYNY. I liked to play single deck black jack tables outside Coyote Ugly. Fun times when I was in my 30’s.
Also, I hate losing money. I take it personal. I’m a decent poker player, and I know the basics of most the popular table games, but I don’t like the high minimum tables at the big strip hotels. Where to go to find low limit games & still be a fun place?
Wife & I are more of a cool bar and people watch people. We are also foodies & like craft beers and good whiskey.
My kid is a math geek & he’s excited about going. Again though, he’s going to gamble with my money. He’s also a big gamer.
We all love football & most likely 2 of our 3 fav teams will be playing that weekend (me Steelers, her Cowboys & son Ravens). What’s a good book to hang out at to watch NFL games?
