Made my 13th trip to Vegas in September
for a fantasy football draft and to watch Week 1. We were there for your same Wild Card weekend in 2018. We had 12 people in our group last month, so I did a ton a research on this exact subject. Essentially, seats in the good books fill up early, (with one exception) so unless your willing to camp out 2 hours before kickoff, I’d suggest 1 of these 5 options in no particular order:
1. Ceasars Palace - Allows you to buy a seat in the Sportsbook thats yours for the day so you can come and go as you please. Expect $150+ per seat
2. Mirage - Same deal as Ceasars (both MGM properties) except pricing was a little cheaper and as a result sold out faster.
3. Lagasse’s Stadium - A restaurant in the Venetian. You don’t pay anything to reserve a seat here, however you are subject to a required minimum per game (Usually $75-$125 depending on the game, but you’re getting food and drink for your money)
4. The Fan Caves at the Linq - a new addition to the list. If you’re willing to to pay $100+ per person, look these up online. They were $450 for a single game or $750 for a full Sunday when we were there. But you can seat up to 8 for the same price. Your own personal couch, TV’s, etc.
5. The biggest Sportbook in Vegas is in the Westgate off the strip. It’s the only one where on Wild Card weekend you probably show up close to game time not pay anything and get a seat. We watched the entire Sunday slate there back in September and had a good time. We did Lagasse’s last time which was good but had some in our group of 12 that didn’t want to pay, which left us as the Westgate by default.
