Some fierce Karmic storms this year, The Nationals have requited my love for those loosers the Senators 50 years later, Our tennis team snuck into the nationals by the barest of margins, Virginia Tech has, well, only severe Karmic whiplash can explain the reversal of fortunes. On the other hand, I have become the kiss of death in tennis. The tennis pro giving me lessons last summer didn't get his green card renewed and had to return to China, By being the "little extra" that helped our team get to nationals also guaranteed it would be disbanded per USTA rules and just this evening, played at 40 West Tennis Club and they announced the place was being closed by court order tonight, I mean like TONIGHT. The owner had passed away in September and there was some question of ownership. There would be a padlock on the door in the morning. What else can I destroy?

The odd thing is I kinda wanted that, I mean not to have to play next week but felt duty bound to do so. Was even kinda hoping the other guy couldn't make it for some reason. I had twisted my knee and was limping around a bit, really needed to get away from tennis for a while anyway and do something else like maybe go to the Pittsburgh game? Voila, wish granted, a little overkill but granted. Weird.

New neighbors put in a fence a couple days ago, not crazy about it, but not a big deal either, An aesthetic issue? disrupts the flow from the yards to the woods? Otherwise, not a problem, heck, I used to mow their grass when the previous owner (previous owner's renters) were there. It only took 2-3 minutes more and was not out of any passive-aggressive impulse, I was doing it for myself. Even got some nice California wine from a previous, previous renter as thanks - sure, they probably got it free and didn't drink - but hey, good Karma. Less work now, And it's good to have an owner living there, one that's improving the property, although the renters have been sociable through the years.

So, now I have a little box canyon between two fenced in backyards and wondering how that changes things. Maybe put a small tree ~ 15'? at the end of the yard? maybe use the fence line to build a dam/trench now to divert what is basically a mini flood plain?

In other 'lag news, finally put the over-the-stove microwave on its own breaker. Originally there was only a stove hood so it was on the same circuit as a lot of overhead lights and now those lights dimmed while the microwave was microwaving. Been stalling on this - hence OX's describing a section of my kitchen as "squalor" w/all the tools on the counter.* Tennis will do that, unmotivate you for other things.

My CBD oil testing has come to an end, pretty much inconclusive. As I mentioned my leg has been ailing from playing tennis so here's a chance to test pain killing effects. Nada. OK, does it help with sleep? Nah, didn't really see that either. So since I just played tennis again will drain the tube of CDB and see if that larger amount does anything.

Ah well, the fence will weather and blend in a little better w/the woods behind it in time. Chill on the tennis for the winter, (which means I will only play 3 times a week) and maybe, I'll be down for the Pittsburgh game.
