Scalp.Spray RoundUp liberally. Thoroughly aerate. Seed. Cover with peat.


Keep wet for a month.

I used this regimen in the fall at two different red clay lawns in the CLT and had gorgeous fescue the next spring.

Why use peat to cover the seed? Because most people will use straw and that simply introduces the significant possibility of more weeds.
