starter fertilizer and 200 lbs of pellet lime (avg suburban lawn)...water it a lot.Wait at least four weeks before you cut it and then do so at the highest setting

I would avoid roundup but you can apply “weed b gone” in the spring if your pre-emergent doesn’t get it all. Apply pre em when the forsythia starts to bloom
