Looking for hiking shoes, what brands & models should I look at?

Current looking at:

KEEN Targhee Vent
KEEN Voyageur
Merrell Men's Moab 2

Want a "low top" hiking shoe" that breathes, so no Gore-Tex liners. Comfortable, good support, rugged sole, and more substantial than "trail runners."

Had a bad experience with "high top" Merrell Moab 2 boots, so they are currently low on my list...but the low top version may be OK.

Any other brands and/or models?
