VB still picks up recycling separately, but no idea if they still recycle


Last week's "recycle" truck looked identical to our regular "trash" truck. Looks like the city recently purchased new trucks.

I remember talking to the Chesapeake guy who ran their transportation department several years ago, and he said switching to natural gas powered trucks had saved them an enormous amount of money. Don't remember the total he mentioned, but it was enough to replace their entire fleet every few years.
