^^ My thoughts exactly ^^
Though I don't believe the decision makers are really even following vaccination numbers to make their decisions. Dr. Fearci yesterday kept referencing 'rising cases in young people'! Since when was THAT a metric, especially since for almost a year he has been saying young people aren't a problem since the virus barely impacts them. And while he can't cite a single study that says vaccinated people can spread the virus, he says that due to 'potential variants' we need to continue to mask up after vaccination. What the hell kind of science is that?
I have my second dose of the vaccine scheduled for tomorrow for the reasons you stated ... but I don't believe that this will be 'over' until it is in the decision-makers best interests for this to be over and that becomes more clear with each move of the goal posts.
