I went through it for two years with ma

We didn't use feeding tube due to dementia. I was the 16-hour-a-day feeder. I had to buy postal shoes because I got plantar fasciitis from standing on my feet all day feeding, talking, and doing all the other things. In either case, you either buy pre-packaged foods from Amazon or a medical distributor or you make it yourself with a food processor. Costco rotisserie chicken, mashed potatoes, and gravy in a food processor is very tasty. The real struggle is getting enough liquids and fiber in to prevent dehydration and digestive tract shutting down.

Might want to get a packet of foam swabs which you can dip in water and give to your dad to suck on to take in liquids slowly. The nurse, aide, or therapist might have them.
