The sky was falling years ago on the ACC. We were going to be the bottom


of the P5. And honestly, at the time, we were. We were going to get picked apart by other conferences. On and on it went. Yet here we are, arguably the third best conference. We will never unseat the SEC. But that doesn't mean the death of the ACC. We are not in a bad position. We could even improve our position in comparison to all conferences except the SEC with the right moves in the coming months. What is really hurting the ACC is a bad deal with ESPN. A competitive new deal, some improvement in schools that should be better, and the addition of a couple of schools with a real football passion and the ACC will be solid.
