Let me give you a retrospective and a prospective answer.


And I'll try to be short.

Retro: we let Beamer hang on too long for a school wanting to be a football power. Or, if that hits too close to a nerve, Beamer certainly held on to utter incompetence on the offensive staff too long. And then there is Fuente. A status quo hire. Fine. But the extension was a terrible move. Most of improving image is getting it done on the field with WINS.

Prospective: First, I would make a bold move to play a real OOC schedule. More home and homes. Less cupcakes. If you want to be competitive you need to compete. Just because everyone else schedules the little sisters of the poor for three home games a year doesn't make it a good idea. I'd rather play a balls out schedule even if that means an extra road game then to play (and sometimes lose) to Liberty and ODU.

This is just a thing or two.
