I'll do my best here.


1. If the ACC dies, Notre Dame can join the B1G, SEC or even the Pac12 tomorrow. Not too sure how many schools can say that.

2. No, they don't. The College Football Playoff to 12 gives Notre Dame access to the playoff. In fact, ND was on the planning committee for it as a way to keep their independence. As long as they can keep a quality other-than-ACC schedule of 7 teams, they will be solid, even if the ACC completely blows but remains in existence.

3. They will always play USC in addition to a whole host of other suitors. In fact, if you want to get real, USC and Notre Dame could start their own conference if it all goes down. If the ACC goes under, USC could get cherry pick five from the west and ND could take their favorite ACC football powers from the east. It would have no dead weight (unlike current conferences).
