very poorly reasoned straw man;

in his "example", what he omits is that FSU and Clemson still have to find a way to own their broadcast rights. They can join the SEC tomorrow, but if they want to be on TV, the SEC would have to have their broadcast rights.

There would be no turmoil. And never mind that it's ESPN that requires the GOR for its contracts, lol. They'd be in bigger trouble than they are with the Big 12 situation.
