Adding to my extortion comment

I was a teen in the late 1960's with Viet Nam and civil unrest, and I don't remember another time since then that the socio-political tolerance for back room good ole boy BS is as low as it is now. And it's across the spectrum of interests and demographics. Nobody on any side of any issue is getting a free pass right now.

I think people that try to manipulate the public are going to get called out for it and if that means litigation or law enforcement action; that's what it's going to be.

ESPN isn't going to make money if it has no product to sell and no one entity is big enough to supply the market. And one school isn't going to just roll over because someone else wants to make a little more money. IMO, those days are over, at least for awhile.
