Unfortunately this will be with us forever.

Thankfully as our population gains more immunity, the symptoms will continue to lessen. One trait of all virus mutations is they seem to be less severe to the patient...and each successive variant is less severe than the previous one.

We've had Corona viruses for years, and this will eventually blend into the others as minor events. Unfortunately it's still kicking butt in our communities, so we've got a way to go to get to that point.
