Even if UConn's football was okay/average, it still may not have been


the "better" choice because of their football stadium situation is worse than Miami's situation and may even be on par with UCLA's situation in terms of how far away it is from campus. The day UConn made the decision to demolish its on campus stadium so it could build a multi-million dollar practice facility for basketball is the day it announced to the rest of the world UConn's attitude towards football. Plus, the stadium the state built for UConn football (and other sports) is only around 30k or so which doesn't help UConn's cause. I think the stadium has the potential to expand into the low to mid-40k, but does the ACC really need (or want) another member with a small football stadium?
