Higher minimum wage = higher cost of goods/svcs...
...which means eventually everyone's pay goes up, which means over time and relative to everyone else, minimum wage stays the same. What we REALLY need to do, in my opinion, is teach people that minimum wage jobs are not intended to support a family, and are instead "starter" jobs. If we would place more emphasis on education in this country instead of on celebrity worship, we might start to develop generations of smart, skilled workers. Instead, we churn out more and more people who grew up supported by the government and know that as their only way of life, and they get locked into that lifestyle.
