That is not an unreasonable opinion......


however, IMO the rules are known, they have been consistent in the application of those rules and I look at it as just a soft cost of exiting the conference for a perceived better opportunity. It is not great for the kids as you say, however, it is a life lesson that actions have consequences and you should not necessarily count on a get out of jail free card after the fact. Also, interesting that you point out the decisions in Big 12 and AAC. Maybe those conferences were magnanimous in their decisions OR maybe they were just making the best economic decisions for their conferences in terms of additional postseason monies.
