The school values its reputation so much and will never compromise


academics for the purpose of becoming a "real" football school. Bronco realized that the program severely lacked in financial commitment to upgrading facilities and echoed, today, that it's a serious problem, but.....he applauded our AD for her plan and "phenomenal" leadership to help foster the funding for facilities upgrades to fruition. With all of this being said, there is some speculation that the A.D. wanted to make some changes on Bronco's staff and he wasn't in agreement with that, so he stepped down. Other rumors is that he was "burned out" and wanted to move on from coaching. As you guys may can imagine, it is very difficult to win at UVa. (one factor is having to play your team each year...LOL) and to garner the fan/financial support that's needed to field a sustained winner. All we fans want is at least 7+ wins a season, to be competitive vs. your team and challenge for the Coastal. Bronco was able to elevate us to a certain point but I believe Saturday's loss to your team (and how it went down) made both parties (the AD and Bronco) come to a realization that a change is needed.
