Phillips also inherited a mess imho from Swofford. ..

Swofford was ruled by Tobacco Road UNCheat ties and put together some questionable alliances which I maintain have brought zero value to the ACC…the Notre Dame dalliance might have appeared “ cute” at the time ,but now it is obvious that they simply bitch slapped Swofford into a deal that brought the conference , NOTHING, as a whole.

His UNC ties simply meant that football would always be secondary to hoops ,when at the time we might have had a chance to be right there with the SEC. But he never made the right moves in a chess game that we will never see again. Adding Loserville was another nitwit decision. All they did was bring the conference down both athletically and academically…. Even adding the Eers would have sent a signal that the ACC is more than hoops…football actually means something…and his network deals and delaying the ACCN forever have cost us dearly… … so I am of the mindset to give Phillips more time and hope for some power moves that actually show that football is driving the car…
