The ACC was not the "premier league in the nation 12 years ago",
The ACC was fourth in football (the king of TV) and trying to climb. Then Miami hit the skids and so did FSU, they just got back.
If you want to find an owner of the ACC not growing more, look no further than Donna Shalala. She started expansion by saying to get Miami you must take BC and Syracuse. Then she moved the stadium so that it is about an hour drive with traffic. That crushed their program when Bobby Bowden and later Frank Beamer were fading out. The ACC lost major credit without a powerful Miami with those two twilighting.
Look I do get your frustration, but I don't understand why you think anyone could have gotten an ACC Channel before the SEC Channel? [Post edited by Stech at 04/29/2016 07:02AM]
