It even extends heavily into the Florida panhandle fanbase. Bobby Bowden refused & rebuffed Kramer's SEC offer through himself and his FSU administrators just as described by several on this thread.

A FACT here and on boards I have seen several times over the years within the SEC. I have even read a long newspaper article on the internet that states Kramer was in a Florida hotel room trying to arrange a last ditch meeting with FSU administrators when he heard press reports announcing an FSU intention to go into the ACC.

However you better not dare say all that on an FSU board. Their adamant version among fans is Kramer taunted FSU with an SEC invite, never delivering and leaving FSU dangling in the wind to seek refuge in the ACC.

I tried to enlighten them on their Scout board about 5 years back.
They first just argued with me and then went off on bashing the Hogs. Razorback fans have developed tough skins out of necessity over the last few decades. They made little headway there. I had never mentioned exact family relations in any manner, certainly nothing about my sisters. However they just made a hit or miss assumption about possible relatives. Several went off on very vulgar descriptive tirades of alleged incest. I then got MAD. A permanent ban and at the time lost total interest in that fanbase ever being in the SEC.
