Tournament scoring

1st place -16pts 2nd place -12pts 3rd place -10pts 4th place -9pts 5th place - 7pts 6th place -6pts 7th place -4pts 8th place -3pts . Team also gets 1 pt for each win in championship round and 1/2 pt for each win in consolation round. Team also gets 2 pts for a fall , 1 and 1/2 pts for tech fall (with back pts) and 1 team pt for any major or tech fall with no back pts. You can see a team's tournament scoring is much different than a dual , and harder to follow. You can also see how important bonus points are. Guys can place lower and yet score more team points if they bonus more than a higher placing wrestler.
