This does not include revenue from the foreign TV rights which has increased in value from year to year since 2012.
Team sports depend heavily on their fans and the more exposure the teams have on TV the more fans are likely to buy caps, t shirts and various other licensed merchandise.
Don't expect college football, college basketball or major pro sports to go the PPV route in our lifetime. Too much at stake for the fans, broadcasters and the teams themselves.
