Memory care costs much more than nursing home as you know. You might have to look into a group home for a lower cost. They're often called residential care homes. If he isn't qualified for Medicaid now, you may need to place him and spend down his assets before he's accepted into the program. Contact an elder care lawyer to make preparations.
