of the Islanders front office. Lou Lamoriello is 75, so it will be interesting to see how long he remains as the GM.

I think the Islanders have major player decisions to make. At least there is the rumor that Tavares may end up on another team (i.e. Vegas). If the Islanders lose too many of their top players this offseason, then next season could be a major rebuilding job for whomever ends up as the coach. Even if the Islanders are willing to meet his terms, he may not want to deal with the rebuilding headache and instead wait for a team that may be closer to making the Playoffs.
