If Seattle is awarded a franchise, then would that mean Arizona

ends up in the Central Division? I don't think the NHL would want to place Edmonton in a different division than Calgary. Also, I doubt the NHL would want to go with a 7-9 split (Central-Pacific). Unless the NHL plans to place Seattle in the Central Division, then it would seem Arizona is the only option. Then again, it wouldn't surprise me if the NHL decides to eventually expand to 36 teams and switches back to 3 divisions per conference.
