Been there ... I have no control of her, but I admit it. Key for me is


to stash $$ where she doesn't look. i.e. tax return, keep ESPP or stocks separate. Then when we need something bigger ... the $$ fairy (me) has a bucked of cash to rain down. :)

We have fundamentally different views on money. She lives for today ... I plan for tomorrow. If we ran it her way we would have nothing ... my way 100% we would live well below our means. This approach, for us, keeps her happy and me feeling secure.

Love her ... $$ not her strong point.
