Russia thrives on world chaos, china plays the long game, west economic

Russians sell oil and cheap weapons thus Middle East chaos is good for them, so they sow dissent in the west and keep things stirred up in the middle east.

China sits back and builds their military and tries to keep their deeply flawed society under control. They need a consumer state like us and western Europe as a market for cheap goods to keep their masses of males with no families occupied and feed their military buildup.

The west wants to protect their economic interests much like the colonial days plus we feel the need to save everyone.

The current ongoing and never ending war kinda fits the needs of all three. Problem is the theocrats we are all using in this might just not realize that and do something stupid like explode a nuke, which changes it all.
