I wasn’t contradicting you, simply that


they don’t usually get a check for the amount indicated.
The majority of agents probably do fall into the category you suggest. But the really good agents, who sell a lot a year, they get your house in front of more qualified and interested buyers and can usually negotiate a higher sales price.
We can debate how much that is worth but the collision point is well taken.
