It doesn't really matter how he intended it...data is data.
If the real number of total cases is truly ten times the official total, I believe that IS good news, because I think herd immunity is the only way out of this. The virus will probably be around forever, but if it can only infect a small amount of the population, then it should be manageable. I'm not overly optimistic about a widely effective vaccine, so I'm looking at herd immunity.
ColoVT82 isn't suggesting that it's time to just throw caution to the wind, he's simply looking at the data and projecting ahead at what it might mean.
