That doesn't mean children can't spread it. It just means that right now


they are not the ones causing the spread. And that makes sense because kids have been out of school for months and a lot of the usual kid activities have been either cancelled or reduced. Also, a lot of parents are not taking the kids out grocery shopping like they might have done in the past (or at least not as often). So the kids are basically one of the most protected groups right now (partially by design and partially due to their inability to go out by themselves).

So it is easy to see why they would not currently be spreading the virus the same as adults. But many past school years of spreading germs shows that they are certainly fully capable of spreading the virus just like us adults.
