Social Distancing is a continuum
It includes wearing masks, for example, and can be everything from locking one's self down and sterilizing everything that gets delivered to your house ... to leading a more or less normal life and simply being careful.
The illness is not just now reaching the rest of Virginia. There was a peak in May just like in NoVA, and the recent upticks have not reached that point yet. But things are going up.
I want to keep things open as much as anyone, and I sure as heck want my kids to be able to go to school (in person) in the fall.
People need to wear their masks and be smart. Stop trying to look for reasons to excuse irresponsible behavior ("But, Sweden!"). Virginia is not Sweden, nor Montana, nor New York, nor Florida. All things considered, we are actually doing pretty well. I would very much like to keep it that way.
