Had some flaky Dewalt NiCad batteries too. The drill itself is a workhorse

I've still got it with some aftermarket batteries I got off Amazon. I've got a full suite of Milwaukee cordless tools now, so I don't use the old Dewalt much.

I've heard very middling things about Dewalt cordless tools lately. For the price, there seem to be better options. But I've got several older Dewalt tools that are awesome.
